      As one of the team leaders, I work diligently to lead by example.  I have over five years experience listing REO properties and an additional two years of BPO work.  In 2004, I observed an alarming trend that foreclosures were increasing; I also noticed that there were only a handful of agents managing 95% of the REO assets in the Twin Cities Regional MLS Area.  As I continued to monitor and observe the increase in foreclosures, I came to the conclussion that the growth and inventory would be impossible for only a few REO agents.  In 2005, I had personally inspect many REO assets, and I noticed that many of the listings had frozen pipes and poor maintenance. There were REO agents with over 250 active listings compared to 50 active listings the prior year.  My conclussion was that current REO agents were neglecting the assets due to sheer volume and that asset  managers would ultimately need to look elsewhere for proffesional agents with little REO experience.  This was when my passion for a career as a REO agent and REO Brokerage was most apparent.  
      The beginning of my career in real estate began in 2001 as a RE/MAX Real Estate Agent.  I observed that very successful agents started a team.  Within one year, I had a team of five agents working directly under me.  I partnered with Bryan Van't Hof in 2003.  Since the  trend of online listings and searching was moving towards the future, we started the website www.fishmls.com.  We continued to increase our team to 13 agents.  And as our team grew larger, so did the expenses with RE/MAX and our advertising budget.  We made a move to Counselor Realty in 2004 which had less overhead which allowed us to maintain our advertising budget.  In 2004 the decline in real estate sales in Minnesota was apparent.  We were spending $2,500 a month on advertising; however, the sales from our agents were slowing du to a decline in the market.  And while sales were declining, interest rates were climbing.  In 2005, we decided to open our own brokerage and to expand profitability.  Since we had great success with our website www.fishmls.com, we decided to open the doors to our brokerage with the same name FishMLS Realty.  As we continued to market to buyers and sellers, we also started to solicit for REO work.  The move to REO essentially preserved our company and has increased our sales volume by 25% each year.  Following trends and observing the real estate market has made our boutique profitable. 
      Every move has had its challenges; with that being said, the REO industry is the most challenging and demanding with great rewards.

         I personally offer years of experience in both residential ownership and investment ownership as I own numerous properties myself. I have a degree in Finance from St. Cloud State University, pursued a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, 10 years of experience in the Financial Services sector as a trader for RBC Dain Rauscher and PrimeVest Financial Services, and personal relationships with many different business partners from Mortgage Brokers, Lawyers, Stock Brokers, Asset Managers, Bankers and others. I am a highly resourceful individual with an eye for detail and follow-through. I offer the experience necessary to assit in a REO transactions from occupancy checks, broker price opinions, cash for keys negotiations to property preservation.
